The one exception is our newest clinic, Dublin, which is currently open 8am-6pm weekdays and will expand hours soon. In the meantime, STAT MED Urgent Care - Livermore is just 10 minutes away from our Dublin clinic.
Can I get a strep test at STAT MED Urgent Care? Yes.
The first step toward finding relief from your symptoms is determining their cause. STAT MED Urgent Care is equipped to provide fast and convenient diagnostics. If we suspect you or your child may have strep throat, we’ll likely perform a rapid antigen test or throat culture to confirm the presence of streptococcus bacteria. Both of these tests are simple and painless, involving only a quick swab toward the back of the throat.
Do I need an appointment to get strep throat care at STAT MED Urgent Care? No.
No appointment is required to seek medical attention at STAT MED Urgent Care, including the care of sore throats and suspected strep throat. If you'd like to save time, though, we recommend you pre-register online by clicking the link on our clinic locations page associated with the clinic that is most convenient for you.
Does STAT MED Urgent Care take insurance, including Medicare? Yes.
STAT MED Urgent Care accepts most insurance, including Medicare. We also offer cash discounts and affordable cash rates Kaiser and other HMO subscribers.
Is strep throat treatment at STAT MED's urgent care clinic expensive? No, especially compared to bills from an ER.
Your out-of-pocket costs for urgent care will vary depending on a number of things, including your insurance coverage co-pays and deductibles or our cash pay discounts. We are in-network with most major insurance carriers, but please contact your insurance carrier for specifics of your coverage.
Whether you have insurance or not, managing your medical care costs down is all about choosing your best care option that doesn't compromise on the quality of your care.
For many non-life-threatening issues, the ER is unnecessarily costly and time-consuming. A better choice is STAT MED Urgent Care. Who will provide follow-up care for my strep throat? It depends.
You can return to your primary physician for strep throat follow-up care or come back to visit STAT MED. As our patient, you can be assured that you’ll always have somewhere to turn for expert guidance.
Will my urgent care clinician refer me to a medical specialist if needed? Yes.
