COVID-19 Testing at STAT MED:
What to Expect
- Step #1: Schedule a pre-test Video Visit with a STAT MED provider.
- During that visit, you will be scheduled for a drive-through test at your preferred STAT MED clinic: Concord/Pleasant Hill, Lafayette, or Livermore.
- The swabbing for this test is a Nasal Swab, but not a deep one.
- STAT MED will call you with results.
Update: July 10, 2020
Due to overwhelming demand on the national testing labs, COVID-19 test results appear to be taking more than a week to be returned. Previously, results took 3-5 days. We are hopeful this will improve and are working closely with all labs to find those that can return test results the quickest. Unfortunately, STAT MED does not have any control over this part of the process. Just know that as we soon as we get your results we will reach out to you
FAQ: Insurance Coverage for COVID-19 Testing
Good news: Currently, COVID-19 testing is fully covered for everyone, whether you are insured or not. This includes Kaiser plan members. You will still be asked to show your insurance card if you have one, but you should face no out-of-pocket expense.

Are you a Dentist or other Medical Provider Revising Practice Protocols?
Incorporating COVID Testing in Your Practice Protocols
STAT MED is working with dentists, dental specialists and other health care providers as they re-imagine protocols for re-opening their practices. This includes providing drive-through Covid-19 Testing for patients and N95 Fit Testing for staff.
Some providers are using the COVID-19 Test as part of their pre-op or pre-procedure work up. Typically, they are asking patients to be tested within a 72-96 hour window prior to their procedure or appointment.
