There are two basic kinds of tests currently available for COVID-19: Diagnostic Tests (commonly referred to as COVID-19 Tests) and COVID-19 Antibody Tests. STAT MED Urgent Care offers both.

Drive-Thru COVID-19 Diagnostic Tests
A COVID-19 diagnostic test analyzes if you have a current COVID-19 infection, whether you are showing symptoms or not.
We offer both the rapid Quidel Sofia 2 COVID-19 Test as well as the more standard PCR test. The Quidel Sofia 2 is an antigen test.
Step #1 for a COVID-19 Diagnostic Test is to schedule a video visit with a STAT MED provider.

COVID-19 Antibody Tests
A COVID-19 antibody test analyzes if you have previously had a COVID-19 infection, but doesn't show if you are currently infected.
The antibody test we use tests for both IgG and IgM. The results certificate we provide reports IgG and IgM separately.
STAT MED offers Rapid COVID-19 Antibody testing, with results provided before you leave the clinic.
No appointment is required for the Antibody Tests.
All COVID -19 Tests, whether testing for active COVID-19 or antibodies, require an initial Provider Visit. For COVID-19 virus (swab) tests, this is a Video Visit. Schedule yours today by calling (844) 782-8633.
After your Video Provider Visit, you’ll be asked to go to your preferred STAT MED Urgent Care clinic to complete the test the provider has ordered for you. COVID-19 Diagnostic Tests require a nasal swab, which is handled on a drive-through basis in the clinic parking lot of your preferred STAT MED clinic. COVID-19 Antibody Tests require a blood draw, which is handled inside the clinic.
FAQ: Insurance Coverage for COVID Testing
COVID Virus Testing Insurance Update: The Public Health Emergency (PHE) period has been extended through April 20, 2021.
As such, we anticipate that all insurance providers (including Kaiser) will continue to honor cost-share waivers for COVID virus testing until April 20, 2021. This means that COVID-19 virus testing should be cost-free for all US Citizens, whether you have insurance or not.
We will, though, continue to collect any insurance information so that we can bill your insurance company, per government guidelines. Any charges not collected in advance but determined by your insurance carrier to be your responsibility will be billed to you directly.
Please contact your insurance carrier for details or questions regarding your plan coverage.
Thank you for trusting STAT MED Urgent Care with your healthcare needs
COVID Antibody Testing: There is no indication that this extension to PHE period will be universally extended for antibody testing coverage, so STAT MED will collect co-pays for COVID Antibody testing.
* The cash price for either the COVID-19 virus test or the COVID antibody test is $125.
